Digital Wedding Invitations — How It Works
Paperless wedding invitations with QR codes are modern, sustainable, and more affordable. Here's how to send them right.

Paper Is Yesterday
Traditional wedding invitations quickly cost $500–1,500 — printing, postage, response cards. Digital invitations cost a fraction and are just as elegant.
The biggest advantage: Your guests can respond directly online. No sending back response cards, no follow-up calls. You see in real time who's coming.
How Do Digital Invitations Work?
Option 1: Fully Digital
Send a link via WhatsApp, email, or SMS directly to your wedding website. Guests find all info and the RSVP feature there. Cost: practically zero.
Option 2: Hybrid (Our Recommendation)
Send a beautiful card — but instead of a long address and response card, simply print a QR code on it. Guests scan the code with their phone and land on your wedding website.
Best of both worlds: The feel of a real invitation and the convenience of digital RSVP.
What Should a Digital Invitation Include?
Your names and a personal sentence. Date, time, and venue clearly stated. A link or QR code to the wedding website. A request to respond by a specific date.
Everything else — schedule, directions, dress code, menu choices — guests can read on the website.
Creating a QR Code
With vjeny, you automatically get a QR code for your wedding website. Download it as PNG and print it on any invitation card.
Sending Tips
Timing: Send 3–6 months before the wedding. Save-the-dates 6–12 months ahead.
WhatsApp Broadcast: Use the broadcast feature so each guest gets a personal message, not a group chat.
Reminder: Send a friendly reminder 4 weeks before the RSVP deadline to everyone who hasn't responded. vjeny shows you exactly who's outstanding.
Celebrate More Sustainably
Less paper, less postage, less CO₂. Digital invitations are a simple step toward a more sustainable wedding — without sacrificing elegance.
